Not Bari Funny

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Allen Bari won't be repeating his tournament success from the $5,000 NL event. He's just been eliminated by Matt Hawrilenko.

Binger Clubbed Again

Level 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Binger: {X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {X-}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Michael Binger completed and his opponent raised. Binger made the call and check-called his opponent’s bets on every remaining street. His opponent turned over a flush and this was the second club flush we have seen Binger lose to recently.

Seed of Destruction

Huck Seed was all in on third against another player and the dealer quickly dealt out both players.

Seed: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Opponent: {J-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

Both players made a pair of queens but Seed was outkicked and hence became one of the earliest players to hit the rail.

Bounty on Bach

We recently ventured over to David Bach’s table only to see him quite shortstacked. Chris Amaral then pointed out that himself, Cyndy Violette, Tom Dwan and Michael Mizrachi had a $100 bounty bet going on for whoever eliminated Bach. We asked Phil Laak how come he wasn’t a part of the bet and Amaral said “we offered him 105 to 100 but he wouldn’t take it” and Laak said “I would do it for 120”.

Anyways a few hands later, the following hand occurred where Mizrachi would have a chance to get the bounties.

Bach: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Mizrachi: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {6-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} / {8-Spades}
Sabic: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{A-Clubs} / {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Bach brought in and Mizrachi completed. Sebastien Sabic then raised and Bach moved all in. Mizrachi raised and Sabic just called. On fourth, Sabic check-called Mizrachi’s bet and on fifth check-raised him. Mizrachi came back with a re-raise which Sabic called. On sixth Sabic bet, Mizrachi raised, Sabic three-bet and Mizrachi called. Seventh was a little tamer with a Sabic bet and a Mizrachi call. Bach showed two pair which was beaten by Mizrachi’s rolled up 6s but Sabic had them both beat with a full house. While the hand eliminated Bach, unfortunately no one was able to capitalize on the bounty.
