Hennigan Busts Sexton

Mike Sexton has been knocked out, we didn't see his hand but he couldn't beat the two pair offering (fives and threes) that John Hennigan held.

Just 27 players remain and only 16 get paid.

Again Jason?

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Mercier, who is sitting with a fairly large stack, was the bring-in with the {3-Spades} and said “Is it me again, three in a row”. The dealer joked “That’s because you complained last time” and then mentioned that Mercier had nothing on Chau Giang who was the recipient of nine straight bring-ins earlier before he busted.

Weak Hands, Big Pot

Wahlbeck: {X-}{X-} / {10-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {X-}
Hawrilenko: {X-}{X-} / {K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {X-}

Ville Wahlbeck completed, Matt Hawrilenko raised and Wahlbeck made the call. Wahlbeck check-called Hawrilenko’s bet on fourth and both players checked fifth. On sixth and seventh, Wahlbeck bet and Hawrilenko called, especially after taking his time on seventh. Wahlbeck turned over {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for only a high card at the end while Hawrilenko’s {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for a pair of kings was good.

Berger Ballin’ Outta Control (Compared to Before)

Amaral: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {X-}
Berger: {X-}{X-} / {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades} / {X-}
Young: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {X-} FOLDED

Chris Amaral called the completion, Barry Berger who was down to 400 in chips not long ago raised and Jason Young called as did Amaral. On fourth Berger bet, Young raised, Amaral called and Berger re-raised all in for 1,950 more. Both players called and checked it down until seventh where Amaral bet and Young laid it down. Amaral showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} for an ace high flush and some players at the table said nice hand but now it was time for a sweat. Berry peeked down and immediately flipped over {J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a full house and the triple up.

Mercier Eliminates Pezzin

Mercier: {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Pezzin: {4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Jason Mercier and Pat Pezzin got into a raising war on fourth street when the last of the Canadian's chips went in, "I already have two pair," said Mercier, "I guess I have to hit a king," replied Pezzin. The boards ran out for both and Mercier's two pair stayed good for the pot.
