Day 2 of Event #28: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em About to Begin

After a delayed start of an hour and a half due to the huge volume of players in Event #30: Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship, play of Event #28 is about to begin.

We started play yesterday with 2,500 entrants and today 349 will return for a shot at the gold WSOP bracelet and the $599,153 prize for first place. Several notables were able to breach through the large field on day one and will be returning to play today. Among those returning today are Andy Frankenberger, Matt Affleck, David Pham, Peter Feldman, and Gualter Salles.

Returning at the top of the pack today is current chip leader Rick Romine. Yesterday, Romine had so many chips in front of him that he had to sincerely try not to knock some over every time he peeked at his cards. He's sitting atop our leaderboard with 176,100 in tournament chips.

We will be playing ten more levels today, starting with blinds at 500-1000 with a 100 ante. Players are about to take their seats so stay tuned to Pokernews for updates as day two progresses!
