Chow Gets Quartered by Soulier

Omaha-8

We picked up the action on the turn with the board reading {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Fabrice Soulier had checked to Michael Chow. Chow bet and Soulier called. After the {2-Clubs} fell on the river, Soulier bet and Chow called.

Chow showed the {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for the nut low. Soulier showed the {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the same low and a pair of sixes for the high. He won three-quarters of the pot from Chow.

Want Some Iced Coffee with that Sugar?

Chris Amaral called over our PokerNews field reporter.

"You see this? It's an Iced Coffee. You know how many sugars I've put in it?" Amaral asked.

Our field reported didn't respond.

"Tell him!" Amaral gestured to David Steicke as the Hong-Kong based Australian responded with, "15!"

"So tired, but need to keep at it!" added Amaral as he now sits with 65,000 and is placed in the top few of our leaderboard.

South Adds

Omaha-8

From early position, Cole South raised. Action folded to Justin Smith in the big blind and he made the call. The flop came down {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Smith check-folded to a bet from South and that was that.

Hellmuth Halted

Phil Hellmuth's run at a third $10,000 Championship final table within a few weeks of each other has come to an end.

We were informed that Hellmuth lost to John Hennigan in a Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo pot, but no more details were provided.

Young Drinking and It's Working

Level 7

Jason Young has a little bit of a new look. He's wearing Ronnie "Ronasty" Bardah's hat that says "Nasty" across the front in graffiti-style letters. He's also drinking. He's got a beer in one hand and a shot in the other. He's also looking to order a couple more shots and may be joined in the fun by Brett Richey who's sitting right next to him. It must be working for Young though as he's moved from 12,000 to 28,500 in chips lately.

Chow Not Scared of Oppenheim's Check-Raise

Hold'em

David Oppenheim raised from middle position and Michael Chow reraised from the cutoff seat. Oppenheim called and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Oppenheim check-raised Chow's bet only to have Chow come back with a reraise. Oppenheim called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} fall on the river. With the board now complete, Oppenheim fired a bet. Chow called.

"You got it," announced Oppenheim. Chow then showed the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Oppenheim mucked his hand.
