Texas Dolly Hits The Rail

Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

Omaha-8

Doyle Brunson raised it up preflop, Eugene Katchalov re-raised, and Doyle re-raised all in with Katchalov calling.

Katchalov: {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Doyle: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Katchalov's two pair was enough to send Doyle to the rail. Doyle was close to the money, but was eliminated about 20 people short. This elimination continues his WSOP cashing drought as he hasn't cashed since the 2009 $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud H/L-8.

After the knockout, Katchalov is back up to around 80,000

Ramdin Max'd to the Rail

Level 16
Victor Ramdin will have to wait for his fifth cash of the series
Victor Ramdin will have to wait for his fifth cash of the series

It seems as though the PokerNews blogger's curse has come true again, and on this occasion it is Victor Ramdin that has suffered.

Earlier in the day, we wrote a piece on Ramdin as he chased his fifth cash of the series, but unfortunately for the Team PokerStars USA Pro, it will have to wait another day.

Stud-8

Ramdin found himself all in on fourth street against Max Pescatori, and when the Italian made aces full of sevens, Ramdin mucked on seventh while making a swift exit to the rail as Pescatori moved to 83,000 in chips.

Zaichenko Makes an Offer Alaei Can't Call

Level 17

Stud-8

Daniel Alaei: (X)(X) / {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / (X)
Andrey Zaichenko: (X)(X) / {8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / (X)

We arrived on seventh to some of the scariest boards we've seen all day. Daniel Alaei and Andrey Zaichenko each had 56,000 in bets in front of them from the first four rounds of betting. Zaichenko put in a river bet, and despite the pot odds, Alaei just couldn't make the call. He slipped to 115,000, and Zaichenko is up to 345,000.

Ducks for Daniel

Level 17

Hold'em

"It's ok to fold Chau!" stated Daniel Alaei after raising the button to 16,000 into Chau Giang's big blind.

"Ok, ok, I will" responded Giang as he flashed his {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Alaei was pushed the pot and tabled his {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

"Oh my god I had two overs. Two overs!" added Giang.
