Benjamin Palmer Goes Busto

Benjamin Palmer got all of his chips in the middle holding {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} against the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} held by Perry Lin. It was a classic race situation and when the dealer flopped the {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, Palmer had tripped at the starting line. The turn and river came {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} respectively and Palmer hit the rail.

Tai Dies, Jurgens Down the Gurgler

The 38th event of the 2011 WSOP is now down to 31 players after Tai Nguyen and Tad Jurgens were eliminated simultaneously on different tables.

Earlier, Jurgens pushed the last of his money into the middle before the flop with {9-Spades}{7-Spades}, but ran smack into the {k-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} of Matt Wilkins. Nothing changed after the board was spread {5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Jurgens was eliminated.

Then we wheeled around Tai had moved all-in with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} before the flop, but he found himself flipping for his tournament life against Per Martin Jacobson's {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} and that was the end of Tai's run.

Francis Doubles

Andy Phan came in with a raise before Francis Lynch re-raised all in. All the others got out of the way and Phan called, tabling {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} but was trailing Lynch's {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

The dealer spread the board of {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and Lynch's two pair gave him the double up.

Blanovsky Snaps Off Bobick

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop reading {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, Daniel Bobick checked to Michael Blanovsky, who bet 25,000. Bobick called. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} turn, however, it would be Bobick who fired the {2-Hearts} river - for 50,000 straight. Blanovsky quickly called.

Blanovsky: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for two-pair.
Bobick: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a busted open-ender.

Blanovsky dragged the pot and is up to 250,000. Bobick has slipped to 270,000.

Perry Lin Pairs Up, Knocks Jeffrey Schnettler Out

Jeffrey Schnettler got all of his chips in the middle with {10-}{10-} and was called by Perry Lin, who held {K-}{J-}.

The flop brought a {K-} and the river a {J-} for good measure, sending Schnettler to the rail in 36th place.

Goede Bluffs Weisner?

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action began with Melanie Weisner opening for 17,000 from early position. She found one caller in Pim de Goede from the big.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and both players checked. Goede decided to led out for 23,000 when the {7-Spades} fell on the turn. Weisner called. When the {8-Diamonds} filled the river, Goede fired again - this time for 48,000. Weisner didn't take too long to muck her hand.

"Bluff?" Weisner asked.

Goede nodded.

"I doubt it," Weisner said with a smile.
