Negreanu Eliminated

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Daniel Negreanu, who had been nursing a short-stack for some time, has been sent to the rail.

The player in the cutoff open-raised to 500 and Negreanu went all in for his last 4,725 from the small blind. The player in the cutoff called and showed {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, which was a marginal favorite over Negreanu's {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and Negreanu's rail started chanting, "Heart! Heart!" However, Negreanu bricked when the {4-Diamonds} came on the river.

"I can't hit hearts today," Negreanu said before heading for the exit.

Small Win for Mercer

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Brian Roberts opened the action to 700 and found a caller from the small blind before Heather Sue Mercer bumped it up to 2,800 from the big blind.

Roberts deliberated for several moments before folding, as did the small blind, to see Mercer awarded the pot to move to roughly 17,000 in chips.

Barbero Doubles

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

With a raise to 850 and a call by Andrew Frankenberger, Jose Ignacio Barbero pushed all in for 3,700 next to act.

The original raiser passed, but Frankenberger made the call holding {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to be in a race against Barbero's {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

The board fell {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} to see Barbero spike a double to roughly 9,100 in chips as Frankenberger slipped to about 20,000 in chips.

Nice One for Obrestad

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

A short-stacked player went all-in for roughly 5,000 from the button and Annette Obrestad called from the big blind. The player on the button turned over {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and needed help against Obrestad's {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board came {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, eliminating the player and chipping Obrestad up to 22,000.

DeWitt Dusted

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

With roughly 15,000 in the pot, Jason DeWitt committed his final 15,575 with his opponent making the call.

DeWitt: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Unfortunately for DeWitt, the dealer spread a {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds} board to end DeWitt's hopes of going back-to-back.
