Lindgren Chipping Up

When we got to Erick Lindgren's table, him and another player were taking a heads up flop of {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades}. With about 7,000 in the pot, Lindgren fired out a bet of 2,100. His opponent called, and the turn came the {10-Diamonds}, and Lindgren nearly went all-in, shoving 9150 of his 9300 stack in the pot. The opponent tanked for about a minute before another player called the clock. As soon as the clock was called, Lindgren's opponent folded his hand, and Lindgren boosted his stack to around 34,000, including one of his add-on chips.

Selbst Continues to Slide

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player in middle position raised to 425 and found two callers - one from the button and one from Vanessa Selbst in the big.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Selbst checked, prompting a 1,150 c-bet from the preflop raiser. The button folded but Selbst made the call. The turn came the {6-Spades} and Selbst checked again. Her opponent bet the pot with only had a few hundred behind. Selbt tanked for a bit, but eventually raised enough to put her opponent all in. He chucked in his last few chips for the call.

Selbst: {J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The {A-Spades} river did not help Selbst and she fell to 19,200 in chips.

ElkY Eliminated

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Earlier we reported that Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier had his quads beat by an opponent's straight flush. Well we just saw ElkY grab his backpack and hurry away from his table, and saw the dealer pushing his chips towards the same opponent. He has been eliminated.

Froehlich into the Lammers

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

There was a three-way all in that included Eric Froehlich on a flop of {6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Froehlich: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent 1: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Opponent 2: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Froehlich was in the lead with bottom set, but the {j-Diamonds} hit the gutter-draw of Opponent 2. The {A-Spades} river put Froehlich in third place and had to send over one of his two remaining rebuy lammers to the dealer.

Mercier Hopes to Not Get Free-Rolled

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The board was {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Jason Mercier got all the money in with one other player. Mercier had bet on the turn, one player called and then a third player raised. Mercier reraised all in, the middle player folded and the third called.

"Hope I'm not getting free-rolled," said Mercier.

Mercier: {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The river was the {Q-Hearts} and the two players chopped up the pot with a seven-high straight.

Enormous Three-Way Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ayaz Mahmood and two other opponents built a pot worth 18,800 heading to a flop. It fell {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the first opponent checked. The second opponent moved his final 7,500 into the middle and Mahmood made the call in position. After some thought, the player that had checked moved his stack in for 16,450. Mahmood clearly was pained that he would have to commit more chips to this pot but eventually threw in the necessary chips for the call.

Opponent 1: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Mahmood: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}

The second opponent was currently in the lead for the main pot with just a pair of Aces and also had the nut flush draw. The first opponent was in the lead for the side pot with just a pair of Tens and also had an open-ended straight draw. Mahmood had just a pair of Fives and an inside-straight draw.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} which gave Opponent number 1 the lead with trip Tens and the river {3-Hearts} boated him up to ship the near 60,000 chip pot. Mahmood is near dead with about 1,000 left and no rebuy lammers.

Seed Won't Be Growing Tonight

We're not sure what led to him being so low, but we went up to Huckleberry Seed's table and saw that he had put his last 2,000 chips in preflop and found one caller. The players flipped their cards up, and Seed was in bad shape.

Seed: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and Seed couldn't catch up, eliminating him from the tournament.

Chalk One Up for Laak

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Phil Laak
Phil Laak

Phil Laak announced an open-raise to "Four-hundred.....fifty," and slid it into the middle from early position. He was called by the button, the small blind and Huck Seed from the big.

The flop came {K-Spades}{A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and everyone checked. When the {5-Clubs} fell on the turn, everyone checked again. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and both blinds checked to Laak, who put a 650 bet into the middle. No one felt like calling and Laak chipped up to 25,000.
