Where Has All The Noise Gone?

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 7,000 ante

Once Robert Williamson III made his exit, so too did his rail which made up the large majority of the noise throughout the final table. There are only five spectators left now who are letting the players play quietly for the most part other than an occasional clap for Rep Porter.

Porter Wins First Hand Back To Take Lead

Porter: (X)(X) / {8-}{A-}{5-}{4-} / (X)
Chen: (X)(X) / {3-}{5-}{Q-}{2-} / (X)

Rep Porter called the bring in and then Tommy Chen’s completion as well. Chen led out on fourth and Porter made the call. The action was reversed on fifth where Porter bet and Chen called. The action on sixth was the same as on the previous street and Porter led out once more on seventh. Chen came back with a raise this time but after Porter three-bet, Chen gave up. The hand caused the players to swap places as Porter took the chip lead while Chen became the shortest stack although all three players aren't separated by too much.

Robert Williamson Eliminated in 4th Place ($60,788)

Robert Williamson III - 4th Place
Robert Williamson III - 4th Place

After several raises, Robert Williamson III was all in against Rep Porter on fifth street.

Williamson: {J-}{4-} / {10-}{2-}{3-}
Porter: {A-}{6-} / {9-}{J-}{5-}

Porter was ahead with a better jack-low at the time of the all in. Williamson caught a {Q-} which was of no help to him on sixth while Porter hit a {10-} to give him a ten-low that had Williamson drawing dead. Williamson’s last card wasn’t revealed but Porter ended up with a {8-} on seventh which gave him a nine-low in the end and the knockout.

Williamson's Condition Improves

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Robert Williamson III completed with a {5-}, and Rep Porter asked how much he was playing (90,000) before making a raise to two bets with an {8-}. Williamson called.

On fourth street, Williamson showed {5-}{8-}, and he checked. Porter's board was {8-}{10-}, and he bet. Williamson called, and they went ahead and put the last 15,000 in there and turned up the cards. Williamson started with {k-}{2-} / {5-}{8-}, and Porter was working with {8-}{6-} / {8-}{10-}.

Porter's board ran out {9-}{6-} / {8-}{10-}{q-}{8-}{a-}, and his ten-low was the hand to beat. With his first six cards out, Williamson was showing {k-}{2-} / {5-}{8-}{k-}{4-}, and he was drawing live to survive. "I need to beat a ten?" he asked rhetorically. "All right, I'm gonna squeeze this one."

He did just that, finally ripping open a {10-}. That gave him a ten-eight, the best hand, and the double up. He's back to 207,000 now, knocking Porter down a peg to about 400,000.

Williamson in Bad Shape

Williamson III: (X)(X) / {6-}{Q-}{3-}{7-} / (X) FOLDED
Chen: (X)(X) / {8-}{4-}{6-}{2-} / (X)

Robert Williamson III completed and Tommy Chen made the call. On all remaining streets, Chen led out with Williamson making the call until Williamson painfully folded on the river which left him as a severe short stack.

Chen and Porter Give and Take

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Robert Williamson III called the bring-in with a {4-}, and Rep Porter completed with an {8-}. Tommy Chen raised to two bets with a {3-}, Williamson folded, and Porter put in the call.

Porter: (X)(X) / {8-}{j-}{j-}{8-}
Su: (X)(X) / {6-}{k-}{3-}{q-}

Porter check-called a bet on fourth street, and he called another one on fifth. The bet on sixth street, however, he could not call, and he tucked his two pair under and mucked.

On the next hand, Porter completed with the {2-}, and Chen came along with a {6-} showing.

Porter: (X)(X) / {2-}{10-}{a-}{7-}
Chen: (X)(X) / {6-}{k-}{3-}{q-}

This time, Porter was the one doing the betting through sixth street. Chen called every bet but the last one, folding on sixth to essentially wash out the hand prior. Porter is still up a bit from our last count, sitting around the half-million chip mark after that exchange.
