Su Makes a Good Decision

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Su brought it in with a {5-}, and Rep Porter called with an {A-}. Tommy Chen completed to 40,000, Su raised to 80,000, Porter called, and Chen added the extra bet as well. The latter would fold on fourth street, though.

Su: (X)(X) / {5-}{4-}{5-}{j-} / (X)
Porter: (X)(X) / {a-}{2-}{k-}{5-} / (X)

Porter bet fourth, and he called a raise from Su. On fifth, Porter check-called a big bet, and he led out with one of his own on sixth. Now it was Su doing the calling, and Porter fired one last bullet on seventh street. Su shook his head slowly and stared down longingly at his hidden cards. It looked like he was going to fold, but at the last minute, he stacked together the call and dropped it into the middle.

Porter revealed {q-}{6-}{5-}, only good for a queen-low. It took Su a minute to arrange his hand, but he showed {q-}{6-}{2-}, and his jack-low is good enough to scoop up that nice pot. It moves Su up to about 1.5 million, knocking Porter down a peg to about 950,000.
