We've coincidentally noticed a lot of three-betting going on lately - to seemingly great effect.
In the latest example, a player opened to 450 in the cutoff and action folded to Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the small. He looked his opponent over for a few seconds and then tossed in a re-raise to 1,125. No one seemed interested in putting up a fight and promptly folded.
With that hand, Timoshenko has reached a new high of 10,200.
A player in middle position raised to 450 preflop. The player in the cutoff position called and Diego Brunelli called from the big blind. The flop ran out . Action was checked around to the player in the cutoff position who bet 1,000. Brunelli moved all in for his remaining 3,350 chips. The player in middle position moved all in for around 4,500, and the player in the cutoff position called.
Brunelli turned over , the player in middle position turned over , and the player in the cutoff position turned over .
The turn brought the and the hit on the river sending Brunelli to the rail.

Tournament floormen have been busy breaking two rows of tables to seat the last batch of entrants that have chosen to skip the first four levels. We'll fill you in on who will be joining us at the start of the next level.
Players are still entering the tournament and the total number keeps growing. It seems as if on every pass through the tournament filed we spot new faces. This time around we spotted Dan O'Brien, Ylon Schwartz, John Pham, Men Nguyen and Dan Shak.
Matt Affleck opened for 350 from the cutoff and the player in the small quickly three-bet to 1,100. The big folded and Affleck tanked for a bit, staring his opponent down. He eventually flicked his cards toward the dealer.
Even with the small loss, it appears Affleck has done well for himself thus far, as he currently sits with 8,100.
