We noticed Tim West exiting the Pavilion and he was nice enough to let us know what had happened.
West has been nursing a 1,500 short stack and open-shoved from under-the-gun with 
. He was called by a lone opponent who had the statistically worse hand West could be against - . West's hand failed to improve on the board and he was eliminated.
Tom Dwan rushed back to his seat from the other tournament in the Amazon room just in time for his blinds. A player under the gun raised to 400. Dwan called from the button and the player from the big blind called.

We caught up with the action on a
