Fritz Gets Fried

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Maxwell Fritz moved all in for 7,000 from the button and found a call from the player in the small blind. Fritz's tournament life was at stake holding {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} and had to beat {K-Hearts} {6-Spades} from the small blind. The board ran {10-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} and Maxwell hit the rail.

Kling's Card-Dead Day Sends Her to the Rail

Lauren Kling
Lauren Kling

Lauren Kling couldn't seem to get anything rolling since the beginning of Day 2 and her stack was slowly blinded and ante'd away until she was critically short.

In her second-to-last hand, the under-the-gun player opened for 4,100 and action folded around to Kling on the big.

"This is unreal," she said, in reference to her cards. "I have four-high."

Kling decided to muck.

"Mathematically it was probably the right call..." she added.

With just 3,200 left, Kling put in the small blind. An early position player opened for 4,100 and was called by the player on the button. Kling decided to commit her remaining stack and pushed all-in. The big folded.

Both active players checked down on the {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop as well as the the {Q-Hearts} turn. However, when the {3-Spades} landed on the river, the original raiser pushed all-in and his opponent folded after some deliberation. He tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} for a set of aces and Kling mucked - ending her tournament life.

Little Losing a Lot Lately

Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

Jonathan Little has been having a rough Day 2 so far.

In a recent hand, Peter Rho open-shoved all-in for his last 7,600 from the button and Jonathan Little snap-called from the big.

Little: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Rho: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, giving Rho a winning-straight and doubling him up.

Little, on the other hand, has slipped to 45,000 since starting the day.
