Katchalov Doubles Up Again

tayke2 • Level 23: 15,000-30,000, 3,000 ante

Katchalov: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} / {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / (x)
Isaia: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} / {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts} / {5-Clubs}

Eugene Katchalov won't go quietly into this good night. Katchalov had all his money there on third street with kings, with Alessio calling down with ace high. Isaia was able to make a pair of tens, but he never caught up with Katchalov, who's kings held up to push him to 160,000.

Buchman Spiraling Down

tayke2 • Level 23: 15,000-30,000, 3,000 ante

Buchman: (x)(x) / {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} (x)
Isaia: (x)(x) / {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Spades}{5-Spades} / (x)

Alessio Isaia has just taken back to back hands off of Eric Buchman to take a huge chip lead with three to go. In the first hand shown above, Buchman brought in, then raised when Isaia completed. Isaia called, then check call on fourth street. Isaia bet out on fifth street, and was raised by Buchman. Isaia called, then check called the rest of the way. At showdown, Buchman just shook his head, and said "ace king high." Isaia showed {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for kings up and took the pot.

Isaia: (x) (x) / {j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / (x)
Buchman: (x)(x) / {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} / (x)

In the second big hand between these two in a five minute span, Isaia completed after Katchalov brought in. Buchman raised, and Isaia called. We missed the action on fourth street, but we saw Buchman check call on fifth and sixth streets. On seventh, Buchman decided to get aggressive and bet out, but Isaia came right along with him, and just like before, Buchman simply muttered "ace king high". Isaia {j-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a pair of jacks, and Isaia took another monster pot. After these two hands, Isaia owns over half the chips in play with 1.025 million to Buchman's 385,000.

Katchalov Doubles Through Isaia

tayke2 • Level 23: 15,000-30,000, 3,000 ante

Katchalov: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} / {2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {k-Clubs}
Isaia : {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {10-Diamonds}

Eugene Katchalov was down to just three big bets when he got it all in on third street against Alessio Isaia. Katchalov showed aces, and Isaia showed a pair of fives. Neither player improved on their hand, meaning that Katchalov got a much needed double up, though he is still short stacked.

Isaia Gets There Again

tayke2 • Level 23: 15,000-30,000, 3,000 ante

Buchman: (x)(x) / {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} / (x)
Isaia: (x)(x) / {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} / (x)

Eric Buchman brought in, and Alessio Isaia completed. Buchman called, and proceeded to bet on fourth, fifth, and sixth streets, with Isaia check calling all three times. On seventh, Isaia checked raised after Buchman bet, and Buchman had a decision to make. Buchman called, and for the second time at the final table, Isaia got there on the river against Buchman in a big pot as he showed {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in the hole for a wheel.

Buchman shook his head in disgust, announced he had trip queens. He went on to say "He thinks he played it great but he just ran me down." Isaia seized the chip lead with that hand, jumping up to 900,000.

Jonathan Spinks
Jonathan Spinks

Buchman: {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} / {6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} / (x)
Isaia: (x)(x) / {7-Spades} FOLDED
Spinks: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} / {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

There will be no back-to-back bracelets for Great Britain today. Jonathan Spinks was hoping to carry the momentum that Jake Cody started last night, but he has just been eliminated on a sick beat. Eric Buchman brought in, and Alessio Isaia completed. Jonathan Spinks then raised, and Buchman decided to reraise. Isaia got out of the way, but Spinks called. Spinks checked called on fourth street, then bet on fifth street. Buchman put Spinks all in, and he called and flipped up two pair. Buchman was drawing very thin, but got there on the turn with the {6-Clubs}. Spinks couldn't resuck out on seventh, and he was eliminated. Buchman is now up to 875,000.

Katchalov In Trouble

tayke2 • Level 23: 15,000-30,000, 3,000 ante

Buchman: (x)(x) / {2-Spades} FOLDED
Katchalov: (x)(x) / {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} (x)
Isaia: (x)(x) / {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} / (x)

We are just a few hands in after the dinner break, and Eugene Katchalov is nearing the danger zone, hovering just around 100,000. After Katchalov completed, Isaia raised, and Katchalov called. Isaia bet out on fourth and fifth street, and Katchalov called both times. After pairing his six, Katchlov bet out on sixth and seventh, and it was Isaia's turn to call. Isaia flipped up {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for kings up, which was better then Katchalov's two pair with {10-Diamonds}{10-}. Isaia is now up to 620,000, with Katchalov hurting at 105,000.

Dennis Parker Eliminated in 5th Place ($26,083)

[user101598] • Level 22: 12,000-24,000, 3,000 ante
Dennis Parker - Eliminated in 5th Place
Dennis Parker - Eliminated in 5th Place

Dennis Parker - {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}
Eric Buchman - {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} / {x-}

Parker brought in with the {3-Hearts} showing, Buchman completed with the {k-Spades}, and Parker then re-raised. Buchman called. Parker called a bet from Buchman on fourth, and raised on fifth. Buchman called. Buchman again led out on sixth, but this time Parker just called.

Buchman bet dark on seventh, and Parked folded, leaving himself just 30,000 in chips.

A few hands later, the two tangled again and got it all in immediately:

Parker - {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} / {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {6-Spades}
Buchman - {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} / {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} / {6-Clubs}

Buchman made a flush for kicks and giggles on seventh, and sent Parker packing.
