Eslami Flushes Chips from McEvoy

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Tom McEvoy - (x) (x) / {8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} / (x)
Ali Eslami - (x) (x) / {j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} / (x)

McEvoy found himself heads with Ali Eslami, and both players checked after fifth street. On sixth, McEvoy was dealt the {2-Spades}, while Eslami received the {10-Hearts}. The two checked again.

McEvoy checked again after receiving his down card, but Eslami tossed out a bet. McEvoy called, and buried his head in his hands when Eslami opened up {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for an ace-high flush.

Potential Table of Death Brewing?

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Due to the fact that they both registered late for this event, Daniel Negreanu and Eli Elezra have been seated next to each other. The table is only five handed at the moment, meaning that three other potential pros could be following suit and joining the table as well.

Sorel Mizzi has also joined the tournament, but he is at a different table.

Todd Brunson - (x) (x) / {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} / (x)
Ali Eslami - (x) (x) / {7-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / (x)

An opponent completed showing the {3-Clubs}, and both Brunson ({10-Hearts}) and Eslami ({7-Clubs}) called. Fourth street gave Brunson the {a-Hearts}, and he bet. Eslami raised with the {q-Hearts}, the third player called with the {4-Spades}, and Brunson put in a third bet. Both players called.

Eslami was dealt the {a-Diamonds} on fifth and led out. The third player called, Todd Brunson raised, Eslami put in a third bet, and both players called. Both Brunson ({7-Hearts}) and Eslami ({2-Diamonds}) checked after sixth street, and the third opponent bet ({10-Spades}). Brunson and Eslami called.

All three players checked after seventh street, and the third player opened up {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the wheel, shipping the pot. Brunson is left with just 1,900 chips while Eslami is still healthy with 9,500.

Rich Gets Much Needed Chips

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Rich: (x)(x) / {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / (x)
Opponent 1: (x)(x) / {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / (x) FOLDED
Opponent 2: (x)(x) / {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades} / (x)

Jordan Rich has had a rough start to his tournament, but he just won a crucial hand to get some chips back. Starting on fourth street, Rich bet every step of the way, getting only one call on seventh street. Singer Ships a Pot

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

David Singer was heads up showing (x) (x) / {7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, and fired a bet. His opponent, showing (x) (x) / {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, called. Fifth street gave Singer another ace - the {a-Spades} - and again he bet. His opponent called with the {9-Clubs}. Singer was dealt the {q-Hearts} and bet again, and his opponent again called after pairing with the {8-Hearts}.

Seventh street was dealt face down, and Singer bet once again. His opponent called, but mucked when Singer opened up {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for two pair; aces and sevens.

Seiver Shoots to the Chip Lead

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Opponent 1: (x)(x) / {7-Diamonds} FOLDED
Opponent 2: (x)(x) / {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / (x)
Opponent 3: (x)(x) / {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} (x) FOLDED
Seiver: (x)(x) / {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} / (x)

Scott Seiver just took down a monster pot to take the chip lead early in this stud tournament. After opponent 1 completed, opponent 2 raised, with two other players coming along including Seiver. On fourth street, opponent 2 bet again, and again both players called. After his two opponents checked, Seiver bet out on fifth street, and both players called. All three players checked sixth street, and then Seiver bet out on seventh. Seiver got just one call, and showed {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Spades} for a well disguised flush. Seiver is all smiles as he is the early leader.

Buss Boosts Stack

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante

Jerry Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, was in a three-way pot with the hands looking like this:

Buss - (x) (x) / {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent 1 - (x) (x) / {10-Spades}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Opponent 2 - (x) (x) / {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}

On sixth street, Buss' first opponent was dealt the {q-Hearts} and bet. Buss called after being dealt the {j-Hearts}, and the second opponent mucked before we could catch his card. Buss and his opponent were dealt a down card, and Buss' opponent checked. Buss sweated his cards and bet.

"Well," his opponent sighed. "Have to pay to see it."

His opponent called, and Buss rolled over {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for an ace-high flush.
