Big Stacks Butt Heads

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Eslami: (x)(x) / {4-Diamonds} FOLDED
Buchman: (x)(x) / {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts} / (x)
Katchalov: (x)(x) / {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / (x)

Eric Buchman and Eugene Katchalov, who are the top two stacks at the table, just got involved in a big pot that got to showdown. Buchman completed with his six, and Katchalov called. Buchman checked called fourth street, and then raised on fifth street after Katchalov bet. Katchalov called, then called on sixth street as well. Both players checked seventh, and Katchalov showed just a pair of tens, {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, but it was good enough to win, as Buchman showed just the {5-Hearts} for a pair of fives.

Katchalov is the new chip leader at 350,000, but Buchman is not far behind at 340,000.
