Bakes Pads His Stack

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

While his brother from another mother David "ODB" Baker was knocked out earlier, David Bakes Baker is carrying on the "family" legacy, as he has just taken down a nice pot to strengthen his standing as we near the end of play. We came to the table as the board had been dealt out {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Baker had put out a bet of 77,000, which appeared to be just under a pot sized bet. His opponent, Mark Herm, was deep in the tank, moving the chips for the call in and out of his stack multiple times. Finally, after about two minutes of thinking, he flung in the call, and Bakes showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for flopped trips. Herm mucked, and Baker upped his total to 490,000, good enough for the top 10 in the tournament by our counts.
