Another Good Ol' Bustout

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Kevin Armstrong got it all in preflop for his last 24,000 and was called by Aaron Duczak.

Duczak: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Armstrong: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Armstrong is out while Duczak moved up to 72,000. We are moments away from the dinner break and it looks like we'll have 70 players coming back after some food.

Chips for Liebert

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Kathy Liebert opened with a raise from middle position, then Nabuo Hamamoto reraised to 10,800 total from the cutoff. It folded back to Liebert who made the call, and the two players saw the flop come {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Spades}. Liebert said nothing for a few seconds, then announced she was all in. Hamamoto leaned forward to look again at both the board and Liebert's stack, then let his hand go.

Liebert has about 55,000 now, just a bit below the average with 71 players left. Hamamoto, meanwhile, is down to 32,000.

Igor Meet Igor

Even with a field that started with 946 entrants, one would think that two players named Igor would be somewhat uncommon. Better yet, the chances of them both making it to day two and then the money would be even rarer. Amazingly though, not only are Igor Sharaskin and Igor Trafane both still alive and kicking, they happen to be two of the biggest stacks left and might even currently be one-two! The Igors are sitting on tables behind each other as of now but as players keep on getting eliminated and tables breaking, there’s a good chance we might see them at the same table eventually.

Ezrol Eliminates Cheng, Chips Up

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

A player in late position raised to 5,000, then Wai Cheng reraised to 17,400 from the small blind. Matthew Ezrol then pushed it up to 27,400 from the big blind. The original raiser got out, Cheng pushed all in for 48,000 total, and Ezrol, who had Cheng covered, call the all-in.

Cheng {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Ezrol {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The board came {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, and Ezrol scooped the big pot with trip sevens and the nut low. Cheng is out, while Ezrol bumps up to 140,000.

Slagle Out, Bustouts Continue At Rapid Pace

Brian Patrick raised it up to 4,800 preflop and Robert Slagle put his last 5,000 or so in the pot. It folded back around to Patrick who made the call.

Patrick: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Slagle: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Slagle hit the rail.

As we predicted, the bustouts have been coming quickly. This is our last level before the dinner break and then we will play six more after that and likely get down to our last two or three tables tonight.

Puccini Pops Perrault

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Pascal Perrault raised to 5,500 and one opponent called, then Mario Puccini reraised to 23,000. It folded back to Perrault who called as did the third player. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and it checked to Puccini who pushed all in for 20,900. Perrault, who barely had Puccini covered, pushed his chips in the middle as well, and the third player folded.

Perrault needed some runner-runner help, showing {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} to Puccini's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. But the turn was the {K-Spades} and river the {2-Clubs}, and Puccini pushed up past 85,000. Meanwhile, Perrault was down to just 1,500 after that one, and busted soon after.

Shulman Claims Chips from Serock

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Steven Serock opened from late position for 5,500, then Barry Shulman, sitting to his left, reraised to 19,500. It folded back around and Serock made the call.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Serock pushed all in, and Shulman called with his remaining 19,800. Shulman showed {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} for trip jacks, while Serock had hopes for a flush and/or a backdoor low with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and river the {4-Hearts}, meaning no low for Serock and a scoop for Shulman with his trip jacks.

Shulman is up to 83,000 now, while Serock has slipped to 50,000.
