Zaichenko and Deeb Play a Big One

Pot-Limit Omaha

Andrey Zaichenko had bet the pot for 40,400 on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop after Shaun Deeb and Robert Williamson III checked to him. Deeb made the call and then Williamson tanked long and hard before folding his hand. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Deeb bet enough to put Zaichenko all in, which was 29,500. Zaichenko called and the hands were revealed.

Zaichenko: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Deeb: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Spades}

The river completed the board with the {8-Diamonds} and Zaichenko was able to double up with his straight to the nine as Deeb missed his draws.

Kaiser Rollin'

No-Limit Hold'em

When we reached the table, the board read {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Tom "durrrr" Dwan had checked to Ronny Kaiser. Kaiser fired 12,700 into a pot of about 22,000, and Dwan called.

The {j-Spades} on the turn paired the board, Dwan checked again, and Kaiser plopped 23,200 in front of him. Dwan went deep into the tank, staring at Kaiser before eventually check-raising to 62,000. Kaiser tank-called, and the river was the {8-Diamonds}.

Dwan tapped the felt with his index finger, and Kaiser paused before grabbing an entire stack of T25,000 and T5,000 chips, splashing them forward to put Dwan all in. Dwan sweated his cards one more time before releasing them, and Kaiser won the pot.

Negreanu Eliminated

Level 7
Daniel Negreanu on Day 1
Daniel Negreanu on Day 1

No-Limit Hold'em

David "ODB" Baker raised to 2,700 from early position and Phil Hellmuth called from the next seat. Chris Klodnicki called from the small blind, as did Daniel Negreanu from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} and Klodnicki checked. Negreanu went all in for his last 1,200 and was called by Baker. Hellmuth, though, popped it to 5,500. Klodnicki wasn't going anywhere, though, and re-raised to 17,000. Baker called once again, Hellmuth folded, and the {7-Clubs} hit the turn.

Both Klodnicki and Baker checked to see the {8-Diamonds} river where Klodnicki checked once again. Baker bet 23,000 and after about a minute in the tank, Klodnicki folded. Baker tabled {A-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight and Negreanu couldn't beat it, ending his tournament.

The same action occurred on seventh, Eslami opened up {a-}{6-}{3-} for an eight-six, and Lamb showed {a-}{4-}{4-} for a seven-four.
