Baker Cooked

Level 17
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

Razz

On the first hand after the redraw, we had a four-way razz hand over on Table 292 in which David "ODB" Baker was all in by fourth street, then unfortunately for him caught enough bricks to build a small toolshed.

David Baker: (X)(X) / {2-}{Q-}{10-}{K-} / (X)
Jeffrey Lisandro: (X)(X) / {3-}{8-}{J-}{7-} / (X)
Yan Chen: (X)(X) / {4-}{Q-}{2-}{8-} / (X)
Ben Lamb: (X)(X) / {A-}{A-}{4-}{10-} / (X)

After Matt Glantz brought it in on third, Baker completed, Lisandro raised, and Chen, Lamb, and Baker all called. Lisandro bet again on fourth, with all three of his opponents calling, Baker's bet putting him all in. Lamb led on fifth, with both Lisandro and Chen calling. Then Chen led on sixth and seventh, with both Lamb and Lisandro sticking around.

Chen flipped over his down cards to reveal {A-}{7-}{6-}, giving him a 7-6-4-2-A, and the others mucked, with Baker wishing the others good luck as he left.

Chen now has about 1.62 million -- a top five stack -- while Lamb has about 860,000 and Lisandro 650,000.

Seiver Gets a Penalty

Level 17

We missed the actual incident, but there seems to have been an incident over on one of the tables involving Scott Seiver. What we gathered is that Seiver said something involving the word "f**k" and was issued a penalty. Here's what Seiver tweeted about the incident:

@Scott_Seiver: . @WSOPTD Just gave me a penalty for saying the word fuck in the big blind with 24 left in the 50k and I paid 2k rake for this tourney

As you can see, he's a little bit upset by the issue. In response, this is what David Bach had to say:

@GunslingerBach: @scott_seiver Hellmuth said it 50 times the other day, and AT someone with no penalty.

Mizrachi Razzed by Lisandro

Razz

Robert Mizrachi: (X)(X) / {2-}{3-}{Q-}{J-} / (X)
Jeff Lisandro: (X)(X) / {A-}{Q-}{3-}{6-} / (X)

Picking up the action on third street, Robert Mizrachi completed with his deuce and Jeff Lisandro raised. Mizrachi called. From there, Lisandro was the one driving the betting with Mizrachi calling on each street. At the end, Lisandro turned over {K-}{7-}{4-} and Mizrachi turned over {8-}{6-}{5-}. Lisandro's seventy-six was good enough to beat the eighty-six for Mizrachi and he won the pot.

Minh Ly

Stud

On third, Brian Rast completed, Minh Ly raised, and Rast called. Ly led with bets on fourth and fifth and Rast called both times. Rast then check-called Ly's bet on sixth.

Rast: (X)(X) / {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Spades}
Ly: (X)(X) / {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The players were dealt seventh and Rast checked. Ly bet again, and this time Rast let his hand go.

Ly noses ahead of Rast on that one, moving to 1.58 million while Rast now sits with 1.54 million.

More from Twitter Regarding Seiver's Penalty

Owais Ahmed talks with a member of the floor staff.
Owais Ahmed talks with a member of the floor staff.

It seems Scott Seiver isn't quite done voicing his opinion on Twitter and recently tweeted this. Keep in mind that "oerockets" is Owais Ahmed, who was the one that called mulitple floor persons over before finally getting a penalty issued against Seiver.

@Scott_Seiver: ". @oerockets is a huge piece of shit with no ethical code. Disgusted by him for calling multiple floors until Jack decided to give a penalty"

World Series of Poker Tournament Director Jack Effel had this response on Twitter shortly thereafter:

@WSOPTD: "@scott_seiver The truth U directed the F-word towards another player & received a 1 hand penalty resulting in a loss of one 5K ante in Razz."
