Field Still Spread All Over

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Returning from dinner break we did an audit of the tables that are still in the Amazon Room. Currently there are 18 tables in the Purple section and 16 tables in the Blue section remaining.

Players are still spread throughout the Pavilion room in all sections. Tournament supervisors have said their goal is to get all players in the Black and White sections by the end of the night.

DeWitt Eliminated

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We've just received word from the flow-ah that Jason DeWitt is done for the day.

DeWitt shipped the last of his money in on the river on a board that read {Q-}{10-}{4-}{A-}{X-} with {A-}{K-}, but his opponent had hit two pair with his {A-}{4-}. Thanks for playing.

Chick's Cracked, But Volpe's STACKED!

We've just found Gavin Smith over in the Black Section of the Pavillion Room and he's sitting on 23,000, but sadly, Heath "TassieDevil" Chick is no more.

Chick raised to 500 from early position and another player called before Chick led out for 650 after the dealer spread the flop of {3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Chick bet out 650 and the player called, then Chick check-called the player's bet of 1,075 on the turn of the {J-Clubs} before checking the river {9-Hearts}.

The player bet a stack of yellows and purples, which was overkill in comparison to Chick's stack. Chick called all-in, but quickly mucked after the player showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.

Chick's gone, but the same cannot be said about Ben Volpe. The man they call "steponu" is crushing everyone in his path - believe it or not, Volpe is on 71,000!
