Kester Reloads A Final Time

Level 33 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Vanessa Selbst has just forced Jeffery Kester to use his last add-on lammer. On the turn with the board reading {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Kester and Selbst got all of the money into the middle. Kester held {Q-}{6-} and Selbst the {Q-}{8-} for top pair. The river was the {K-Spades} and Selbst won the pot. Kester tossed in his last lammer and reloaded for another 40,000 in chips — his last.

Esfandiari Can't Make Godshall Disappear

Level 33 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
The Magician trying to work his magic and win this one
The Magician trying to work his magic and win this one

During the last level, Jacob Godshall raised to 6,000 on the button and Antonio Esfandiari reraised all in for 67,500. Godshall called with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Esfandiari held the {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. After the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Spades}, Esfandiari doubled up and left Godshall with 25,000 in chips.

On the next hand, Esfandiari shoved from the button with the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Godshall called all in for 25,000 with the dominating {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and Godshall doubled back. Then just a couple of hands later, Godshall doubled again.

The level was up to the current one and Godshall raised to 8,000 on the button. Esfandiari moved all in and Godshall made the call holding the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Esfandiari held the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Godshall doubled again. He was all in for 56,000.

Godshall Gets It

Level 33 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Antonio Esfandiari moved all in from the button and was called by Jacob Godshall. Godshall turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} while Esfandiari sheepishly flipped over {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

A flop consisting of {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} landed on the felt and Godshall took a stranglehold on the hand. Esfandiari even picked up his hole cards with the intentions of mucking as quickly as possible. A {q-Diamonds} on the turn was it and Godshall was awarded the pot as the {8-Hearts} rolled off the deck for a meaningless river.

Esfandiari still has two add-ons left, so he isn't out quite yet.

Selbst Onto The Next Round

Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst raised to 6,000 from the button and Jeffery Kester defended his big blind. The flop came down {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Kester moved all in for his final 19,000 chips. It took Selbst around five seconds to make the call and she showed {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Kester was trailing with {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and drawing dead on the {9-Hearts} turn. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Selbst moved on to the next round.

Steinberg Sticks it Out

When we got to the table we found Alex Keating move all in for his tournament life. Max Steinberg completed the call and cards were flipped over.

Keating: {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Steinberg: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board was enough to insure Steinberg the victory. Steinberg will play Eevert Kokkonen tomorrow at 1:00 PM when this event starts back up again

Lichtenberger Moves On

Russell Rosenblum raised to 6,000 from the button and Andrew Lichtenberger decided to put his opponent all in. Rosenblum sighed and thought for around ten seconds before he calmly announced the call.

Lichtenberger showed {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Rosenblum was in trouble with {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} giving Lichtenberger the win and a spot in the fourth round.
