Three Streets For Brenes

The most famous man in Costa Rica is settling in well over at Table #6. He occupies the number 1 seat and is in exulted company. Shawn Buchanan had to take a short World Series of Poker (WSOP) sabbatical after an accident to his girlfriend, so it's good to see him back in action; he sits in the 2 seat. Griffin "Flush_Entity" Benger is in the 3 seat, Allen Cunningham is in the 6 seat, Jon Turner is in the 7 seat, Dan Kelly, is in the 8 seat and last but not least we have David Peters in the 9 seat. Here is the man with the shark taking three bites out of the Buchanan stack.

Brenes raised to 350 in early position and his next door neighbour, Buchanan, made the call. The flop was {K-Spades} {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} and Brenes check-called a 400 bet. Fourth street was {4-Spades} and the same action ensued; this time for 900. Finally the pair were staring down at the {10-Hearts} and Brenes check-called a 1,075 Buchanan triple barrel.

Buchanan turned over {K-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} but Brenes had him pipped with the {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades}.
