Fischman vs. Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth put out a bet on fifth street wich elicited a fold from Scott Clements and call from Scott Fischman. Both players then checked sixth before Hellmuth squeezed out his last card and bet. Fischman wasted little time in calling and Hellmuth simply said, "I have it."

"Have what?" Fischman asked.

"Seven-five," Hellmuth responded.

Hellmuth: {7-}{5-}{3-} / {2-}{7-}{A-}{9-}
Fischman: (x-x) / {6-}{6-}{4-}{8-} / (x)

"Nice catch," Fischman said with a little disgust before mucking his cards.

Pezzin Out

After a series of raises on third street, Pat Pezzin was all in against Barry Greenstein. The boards ran out like this.

Pat Pezzin{6-}{5-} / {9-}{2-}{q-}{3-}
Barry Greenstein{a-}{7-} / {6-}{k-}{5-}{a-}

Greenstein needed to improve on seventh to eliminate Pezzin, and he did when he pealed a deuce. Pezzin was also dealt a deuce, but that paired him, and he was eliminated.

After the hand, Brandon Cantu wandered over, and asked Sam Grizzle if Barry is a good player.

"Barry who?" Grizzle asked him.

Greenstein laugh. "Berry Johnston."

With the clock reading 34, we're now two spots away from the money.

"I Made Three Pair"

After Raymond Davis completed with {4-}, Jared Bleznick raised and cleared the field back around to Davis. He made the call and then proceeded to call bets on the turn and fifth street before betting on sixth after Bleznick checked. A call ensued and then Bleznick turned right around and fired on seventh.

Davis looked at his cards and laughed, "I made three pair." He then folded while showing his hand.

Davis: {A-}{7-} / {4-}{10-}{10-}{A-} / {4-}
Bleznick: (x-x) / {2-}{8-}{Q-}{K-} / (x)

Davis was left with just 6,500 after the hand, but that was gone just a couple hands later.

"I've Always Waited for this Moment"

Phil Hellmuth{x-}{x-} / {6-}{7-}{q-}{4-} / {x-}
Jonathan Spinks{x-}{x-} / {4-}{10-}{7-}{2-} / {x-}

Hellmuth completed, Spinks called, and then Hellmuth led out on fourth street. Spinks called. Spinks took the lead on fifth, and led out. Hellmuth called. On sixth, Spinks opted to check-call a bet, and then he checked in the dark heading to seventh. Hellmuth checked behind after sweating his down card.

"I have an eight," Hellmuth announced.

"Seventy-five," Spinks told him, tabling {a-}{7-}{5-}.

"You paired your seven and then got there," Hellmuth said unhappily.

"I've always waited for this moment," Spinks replied, grinning from ear to ear.

Ted Forrest began laughing historically. "Relish it," he told Spinks. "You're going to here some more."

Hellmuth was still grumbling when we left the table, and Spinks was still cheesing.

Rosenau Busts Steicke

We're not sure when the chips went in, but we do know that David Steicke got his last 4,000 or so in and was up against David Rosenau.

Steicke: {3-}{4-} / {7-}{10-}{Q-}{5-} / {4-}
Rosenau: {A-}{7-} / {3-}{4-}{8-}{8-} / {6-}

Both players started strong but Rosenau drew out better than Steicke, though the latter got a little hope on sixth. He squeezed out his last card and was eliminated when the {4-} failed to help.
