Santoni Soars

We do not know what happened before the turn, but its safe to assume there was same raising as the pot was about 60,000. With a {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board expose Jean-Louis Santoni placed a bet that would put Zimnan Ziyard all in. Ziyard asked his opponent "can you beat queen high? to which Santoni responded with silence.

After a minute or so went by Santoni made the call and indeed showed queen high, {Q-Diamonds}{2-}. Santoni however held {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for three of a kind threes. Nothing could come to save Ziyard, and he was eliminated as the {k-Clubs} fell on the river.

Keating Taking Charge

We don't know what happened before the river, but we do know some betting took place, because there was about 70,000 already in the pot. With a {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{4-} board exposed in the middle a player in early position moved all in for about 110,000. The only other player in the hand, Alan Keating took his time before making a call. Keating flipped over {A-}{Q-} and his opponent showed {10-}{10-}. Keating held the best hand and won the almost 200,000 pot.

Baldwin Busts One Before Break

Eric Baldwin opened from under the gun for 17,000. Action folded around to the big blind who moved all in for around 80,000. Baldwin made the call fairly quickly and cards were tabled.

Baldwin: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-}{10-}

A {7-}{2-}{2-}{2-}{8-} board ran out and Baldwin was able to add on to his already large stack.

"Nice Playing With You All"

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

An under the gun player open shoved for about 100,000. Dan Smith who was next to act then moved all in himself for 162,000. The table folded around and we had heads up action. The under the gun player then said "well, it was nice playing with you all" assuming Smith had the better hand, but he was mistaken. Smith possessed {9-}{9-} while the under the gun player held a dominant {J-}{j-}.

A {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave Smith the lead. A {2-Hearts} on the turn and a {k-Diamonds} on the river were enough to send the under the gun player home. As he was shaking hands and wishing good luck to everyone he said again "well it was nice playing with you all".
