Vitch Locks Up Seat; Koral Out

Christopher Vitch has had Tom Koral on the ropes for a while now, and the two players finally got it all in before the flop. A short-stacked Koral had {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} against Vitch's {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The door card brought hope for Koral as it was the {7-Spades}. The rest of the flop was not so kind, however, as it finished out with the {8-Clubs} and the {Q-Clubs}, pairing Vitch's top card. The {3-Diamonds} turned and the {A-Spades} rivered, sealing up Vitch's victory.

"Had to give me the seven, didn't you?" asked a dejected Koral to the dealer. Koral will take home $3,088 in prize money.

Vitch, however, will be moving on to the final table tomorrow and taking 162,000 chips with him.

Bonomo and Ramdin Update

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Over at the heads-up battle on Table 408, Justin Bonomo and Victor Ramdin took to a {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop with Bonomo on the button and Ramdin first to act. A tap on the table from Ramdin and Bonomo would bet. Ramdin then put in the check-raise and Bonomo called as a {5-Hearts} hit the turn. This time Ramdin would lead out and after some thought, Bonomo let his cards go.

So far it seems Ramdin and Bonomo have been sharing chips around, with no overly large pot going either way.

Vitch Has Koral Short

With the board reading {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Tom Koral bet out and Christopher Vitch called. The {2-Spades} fell on the river and Koral bet one more time. Vitch pushed out a raise and Koral looked quite distraught. Koral peeked at his cards several times, pondering the decision before finally mucking his hand.

This hand only increases Vitch's lead in this heads up battle.

Two More Tables Heads Up

They're suddenly dropping like flies here at Event 25: $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout!

Table 404 recently saw the elimination of Jerid Zewin, leaving Darin Thomas and Daniel walker to battle it out heads up on the felt.

At the next table over, three-time bracelet winner Matt Matros was eliminated. This leaves Millie Shiu heads up with Preston Derden. If Shiu can best Derden heads up, she will have a chance to be first woman to win a bracelet in an open event since 2008. This is looking possible, as Shiu currently has a strong chip advantage.

Vitch and Koral Take to Heads-Up

Byron Kaverman had the last of his short stack all-in holding {q-Spades}{2-Hearts} and came up against Christopher Vitch's {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. The board ran out {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}, with no help for Kaverman as Table 402 now takes to heads-up action.

Vitch currently holds a big chip lead over Tom Koral.
