Daniel Negreanu just saluted us as he exited the Brasilia Room. His short time in this tournament is over.

It's official, today's tournament has drawn 889 entrants and created a prize pool of $1,200,150. The top 96 players will take home a minimum payday of $2,676, with the eventual winner taking home $267,081.
Here's a look at how the payouts will be distributed:
Last night, Michael Gathy was busy capturing his first World Series of Bracelet in Event 21: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $440,829, but that didn't stop him from entering today's event. Unfortunately, he must have used up all of his luck last night as he was recently eliminated.
We didn't catch the entire hand, but we do know Gathy was sent packing after his opponent held for trips.
REALJenHarman Jennifer HarmanI have to say that the dealers dealing the 1.5k horse event have been unbelievably great. Where have you all been this series. #greatjobJune 13 2012
Mike Sexton, who recently announced that he will be playing the $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop next month, is building a nice stack here on Day 1. Sexton just took down a nice pot in the Limit Hold'em round to surpass the 8,000 mark.
A player in the cutoff raised preflop and Sexton called from the big blind. Sexton checked-called the flop and then both players checked through the turn. When the hit the river, Sexton bet 600 and got a reluctant call from his opponent. Sexton tabled for two pair, and hit opponent mucked.
Players are now on a 90-minute dinner break. Right now the tournament clock says 470 players remain of the 889 that started. Upon their return, the players will play four more levels before calling it a night.
