Charania Doubles Through Smith

Gavin Smith opened to 1,200 on the button, and Mohsin Charania three-bet all in for just under 8,000 from the big blind. Smith went into the tank.

"This is a great spot to slow roll," Charania joked.

"I'm not slow rolling," Smith returned.

Smith did call, but he was crushed.

Waxman Loses One

Matt Waxman and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Both players checked. Waxman's opponent led out for 2,500 when the {q-Hearts} turned, and Waxman called.

The {4-Clubs} completed the board, and the player led out again for 4,500. Waxman called, then mucked when the player showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for trips.

Lex Lets it Go

The player on the button opened to 1,100 and found one caller in Lex Veldhuis from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} and Veldhuis quickly led into his opponent for 1,500. He responded by raising Veldhuis to 3,800 total. Veldhuis called.

The turn brought a {6-Spades} and Veldhuis checked, prompting a 6,700 bet from his opponent. Veldhuis waved the white flag and slid his hand into the muck.

Despite the small hit, Veldhuis has chipped up nicely this past level. He is currently sitting on 58,000.

Brenes' Shark Stack Getting Short

Humberto Brenes opened to 1,200 from the button and found one caller from his opponent in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Brenes' opponent checked, prompting a 2,650 c-bet from Brenes. His opponent cut out a raise to 7,400 total and pushed it into the middle. Brenes tanked for a good two minutes, but eventually landed on a fold.

Brenes is well-known resting shark toys on his chip stack. Right now the shark is getting dangerously low to the felt - Brenes is down to his last 11,000.

Cody Folds to Johnson's Shove

Chris Johnson, who unfortunately doesn't play running back for the Tennessee Titans, had the button, and raised to 900. Jake Cody three-bet to 2,600 from the big blind, and Johnson tank-called.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Cody led out for 2,800. Johnson called.

The turn was another eight - the {8-Spades} - and Cody led again - this time for 4,900. Johnson moved all in for 24,950, and Cody thought for nearly two minutes before releasing.

"I would've bet river if you just called," Cody said, grinning.

Johnson gave him nothing, rather he silently raked in the pot.
