From under the gun, Dennis Phillips raised to 140,000. Play folded around to Bob Phelps in the small blind and he reraised all in for 1.085 million. After William Stabler folded from the big blind, Phillips tanked. He even pulled out the chips to make the call, but wound up folding in the end and let Phelps take down the pot.
Action folded to Allyn Jaffrey Shulman in the small blind and she raised all in for 600,000 even. Hoyt Corkins requested a count, got it, then went into the tank. After a minute or so, he made the call to put Shulman at risk.

Shulman is part of the first-time husband-wife-son trio to each make a final table at the World Series of Poker in the same year. Shulman's appearance here has been coupled with the final table her husband made in Event 19: $1,500 No-Limit Hod'em and the one her son Jeff Shulman made in Event 20: $5,000 Limit Hold'em. Those two finished in eighth place and third place, respectively.

Hoyt Corkins raised from the hijack seat to 100,000 and found calls from two players. First, William Stabler called on the button and second, William Thomson called from the big blind.
The three players saw the flop come down 

and Thomson checked. Corkins stayed on the gas with a bet of 250,000. Stabler called and Thomson folded.
The turn paired the board with bullets as the
fell. Corkins increased his bet size by a small amount and slid out 260,000. Stabler gave it up and Corkins won the pot.
William Stabler raised it up to 135,000 from the small blind and Dennis Phillips made the call. The flop came 

and Stabler checked. Phillips opted to bet out 220,000. Stabler then raised and made it 525,000, to which Phillips responded by instantly announcing all in for 495,000 more. After a few moments Stabler made the call and cards were tabled.

After Hoyt Corkins raised to 100,000 on the button, Bob Phelps raised all in for 540,000 out of the small blind. Action folded back to Corkins and he thought for a minute before making the call.

Hoyt Corkins raised from the cutoff seat to 100,000 and Dennis Phillips called from the big blind. The flop came down 

and Phillips fired 150,000. Corkins raised to 425,000 and Phillips folded.
"I was going to Texas on that one," said Corkins.
Martin Fitzmaurice moved all in for 455,000 from early position and action folded around to William Thomson in the small blind who moved all in for 440,000 and the big blind folded.

The next hand saw Fitzmaurice get all in for his last few chips against Thompson again, but a chop pot was ruled after both players flipped over
