Pilgrims Don't Use Walking Sticks

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Action folded around to Dwyte Pilgrim in late position and he pushed out a bet of 5,300. It folded around to the small blind who thought for about a minute before moving a large stack of chips into the middle, making it 19,000 to go. It folded back to Pilrgrim who sat thinking for about thirty seconds.

"Alright, you got it," Pilrgrim said as he tossed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} face up into the muck.

"It was a good fold," remarked his opponent.

With this small hit Pilgrim is now down to about 72,000 in chips.

Cheng Can't Call Collopy

Jim Collopy
Jim Collopy

Picking up the action on an {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop between the blinds, Jim Collopy was in the small and he bet 9,000. Wai Cheng called from the big to see the {2-Hearts} turn. Collopy bet 20,000 this time, but Cheng still tagged along.

The {3-Clubs} hit the river and Collopy took about 30 seconds before sliding in a tall stack of 45 yellow T1,000 chips for a bet of 45,000. Cheng mulled it over, but opted to lay it down.

Pilgrim Doubles Through Moutinho

Dwyte Pilgrim
Dwyte Pilgrim

Dwyte Pilgrim opened the action by raising to 6,500 and it folded around to Erika Moutinho who moved out a three-bet from the big blind.

Pilgrim looked down at the bet to 15,500 in front of him and opted to move all in for 65,500 total. With the action back at Moutinho, Pilgrim started talking.

"Are you worried about the chips?" he said. "Dont worry about the chips, its all about the cards now."

Eventually Moutinho called with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} but was behind the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} of Pilgrim. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} giving Pilrgrim nines full of kings and the winning hand. This hand crippled Moutinho who is now sitting around 29,000.
