Nassif Scores a Double

A short stacked Gabriel Nassif moved all in from late position and received a call from the player in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and Nassif showed {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} which was up against his opponent's {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Nassif struck gold when the flop came {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}, pairing his king and putting him in the lead. The board finished with the {8-Diamonds} and the {Q-Spades}, allowing the double up chips to be pushed Nassif's way.

Cherish It!

Cherish Andrews
Cherish Andrews

Cherish Andrews began Day 2 as the tournament chip leader but we found her rather quiet early on. As the day has progressed, however, she has become more and more of a force by building her stack consistently.

We recently caught up to find her looking down at a board of {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} and a bet of 45,000 from her opponent. Andrews dipped into her large tower of orange T5,000 chips and placed enough chips to call in the center of the table. Andrews then tabled {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for turned trips and was able to scoop the pot.

Andrews is currently sitting on one of the largest stacks in the room with 510,000.

Tran Takes Some From Lehmanski

JC Tran
JC Tran

With the flop reading {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, JC Tran checked over to Maximilian Lehmanski who fired out a bet of 14,500. Tran tank-called and the {5-Spades} turned. Both players checked and the {K-Clubs} completed the board. Both players opted to check once more and Tran tabled {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Lehmanski mucked his hand and Tran dragged in the pot.

Makowsky Busts One

Daniel Makowsky
Daniel Makowsky

After Daniel Makowsky opened with a raise in early position, the player in the hijack moved all in for an additional 43,000.

Makowsky called after about 20 seconds with {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, flipping with his opponent's {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The flop ran out {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, giving Makowsky a full house. The {2-Clubs} turn and {Q-Clubs} river officially ended his opponent's tournament, while Makowsky stacked up to about 270,000.
