Jason DeWitt has just won a few decent sized pots from David Colin.
In the first hand we caught the action on the turn. The board was showing , DeWitt had checked out of the small blind, Colin had bet 46,000 on the button and DeWitt was in the tank. Eventually, Daniel Hindin called for the clock and during the countdown DeWitt made a very late call. The river was the and both players checked.
"I got it," said DeWitt who turned over for the nut flush and Colin mucked his hand.
Next Colin raised to 16,000 in the cutoff and DeWitt three-bet to 60,000 on the button; Colin Called. The flop was and Colin check-folded to a DeWitt pot-sized bet.
Chris De Maci raised to 19,000 under the gun, Tommy Le called on the button before Davidi Kitai three-bet the pot, making it 80,000 to play. De Maci made the call and Le made the fold. The flop was , Kitai moved all-in and De Maci mucked his hand.
In the adjacent table David Benyamine and David Colin were at it again, only this time the fortunes were reversed. Both players settling their argument pre flop.
Benyamine
Colin
Board:
Benyamine had 94,000 and so he doubles up to 192,000.
The two Frenchmen have collided and it is David Benyamine who has been left licking his wounds.
Benyamine raised to 16,000 in the cutoff, David Colin called in the small blind and Jason DeWitt also called in the big blind. The flop was and the action checked to Benyamine who bet 34,000. Back to Colin and he check-raised to a stack committing 150,000. DeWitt had a very difficult decision on his hands, but eventually decided to fold; Benyamine made the call. So off to the turn and everyone knew what was going to happen next.
Turn:
Colin moved all-in and Benyamine made the call.
Colin
Benyamine
So Benyamine had two-pair and the open-ended straight draw, while Colin had the same two pair with a gutshot.
River:
Benyamine's hands flew up into the air as did DeWitt (who was no longer in the hand). Colin had rivered a straight in a huge pot. DeWitt told the table he reluctantly folded the nut flush hence his reaction. Benyamine looked to his girl on the rail and showed her his chips before getting back his head back into the action.
We hung around for an orbit thinking he would be in another showdown but as of yet there is no movement from our World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder.
Hans Winzeler raised to 16,000 from first position and was called by Dimitar Danchev on the button, as well as Scott Bohlman in the big blind.
The flop fell and Winzeler continued for 37,000. Danchev was the only caller before both players checked through the turn and river.
Both players announced they had straights at the same time. Winzeler took the pot though as his was to a nine with , whereas Danchev's was only to an eight.
This game can very very cruel at times. At the beginning of the level Jonas Entin was sitting behind a 600,000-chip stack, ordering a massage for the beginning of the next level, and seemed generally thrilled with life.
Less than as hour later and he's been through a torrid journey that saw him double up three players, have mildly angry words with one player, get a warning for throwing his cards across the table, and then bust right at the end of the level.
His exit came at the hands of Scott Bohlman but he was crippled the hand before against Dimitar Danchev.
He opened to 16,000 and called when Danchev raised to 57,000. The flop fell and Entin led for the pot. Danchev raised the pot which put him all in, and Entin called.
Entin: for two-pair.
Danchev: for an over-pair.
The board ran out to counterfeit Entin's hand. He wasn't happy and threw his cards hard across the table.
Joseph Cheong is starting to become a right royal pain in the gluteus for Hans Winzeler. We joined the action on a flop of with three-players in the pot. Winzeler bet 35,000 from the small blind, Cheong called under the gun and Jonas Entin folded on the button. The was checked through on the turn and we saw another queen on the river . Winzeler checked, Cheong moved two 40k stacks into the middle, with some loose change on top to make it 96,000, and Winzeler called.
"Kings full," said Cheong.
Winzeler winced and paid up his dues. Cheong tabling .
