No Limit Hold'em

The board read {6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Phil Ivey took his time before opting to check. Huck Seed was next to act and he took a few moments himself, before putting out a bet of 1,400.

The table played the waiting game again, seeing if Ivey would make the call or not. In the end though Ivey measured out the call, and held the necessary chips in his hand. Ivey pump faked a few times with his hands in the air making airplane noises before dropping the chips in the pot with a smile on his face.

Seed flipped over {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, and Ivey put his hands up in the air with a "oh well" hand gesture and mucked his cards.

Barnum Bamboozled

No Limit Hold'em

Travis Klein opened a recent hand to 600 from early position. Justin Barnum was willing to pay to see a flop and made the call from middle position. The rest of the table folded and it was heads up to the flop.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Klein fired out for 600. Barnum countered by raising it up to 1,900. Klein's response was to three-bet to 5,900 and Barnum moved all in. The shorter stacked Klein made the call and was at risk.

Klein: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Barnum: {5-}{5-}

Klein was going to need a club or a four to stay alive in this tournament and received no such luck on the {j-Spades} turn. However the river {6-Clubs} did indeed give Klein the flush and the winning hand. Barnum now sits around 7,000 in chips.

Cooler for Juanda

Limit Hold'em

The dealer spread a flop of {9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} allowing John Juanda to check. Juanda's opponent bet out and Juanda raised. The late position player three-bet, Juanda four-bet, and Juanda's opponent moved all in. Juanda immediately made the call and cards were tabled.

Juanda: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Opponent: {k-}{k-}

Juanda was going to need the last eight in the deck to steal this hand away. The {2-Spades} on the turn was no help, and neither was the {Q-Clubs} on the river. Juanda found himself on the losing side of a real tough spot, and lost a decent chunk of his stack.

Straight Flush

Limit Hold'em

The board read {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} and Bryan Devonshire was facing off against Justin Barnum. Devonshire bet and Barnum made the call. Barnum announced "flush" and Devonshire responded by saying "its no good". Devo then flipped over {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the straight flush. All Barnum could do was stare in disbelief, asking how did he get one outted.

We don't know exactly what Barnum possessed, but we assume he turned the flush.
