Welcome back to the Rio for continued coverage of Event 42: $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-better. It's time for Day 2 action, with 175 players returning to the felt with the hopes of making it through the night.
Starting the day with the largest chip stack is a player named Mark Dickstein. We have already seen Dickstein posting a great result this summer, with Dickstein finishing on the final table of Event 10: $5,000 Seven Card Stud.
One player who will also be at the tables today, and with the third largest chip stack overall, is none other than Jeff Lisandro. If there is one player who is feared in at least one half of today's games, it is Jeff Lisandro as he holds four World Series of Poker gold bracelets in stud variants of poker. Lisandro was also at the same final table as Dickstein just a couple of weeks ago.
Not far behind Lisandro and Dickstein is Jeet Shetty as he will be looking to capture his first gold bracelet here in Event 42. A few of the other notables starting the day with plenty of chips include Norman Chad, Perry Friedman, Scott Seiver, Richard Ashby and Daniel Negreanu. While they may not have as many chips, the likes of Eugene Katchalov, Chip Jett, Pat Pezzin and Barry Greenstein must not be over looked.
For your information, the first-place prize everyone is chasing is worth $228,014. The min-cash is worth $4,845 and it is the top 40 players who will slide into the money. We expect the bubble to burst some time late into the evening.
