Small One for Ashby

Limit Hold'em

Action folded to Bruno Fitoussi in the cutoff and he put in a raise. Lyle Berman made the call from the button, and then Richard Ashby three-bet from the small blind. Both Fitoussi and Berman made the call, but both players folded when Ashby bet the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

Despite winning that small pot, Ashby is down considerably from the last time we checked in with him.

Kassela Plays it Slow

No-Limit Hold'em

Josh Arieh raised under the gun to 2,000 and Frank Kassela called in middle position. Danny Fuhs called from the button and both blinds, David Chiu and Daniel Alaei, called as well.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and after two checks Arieh bet 5,200. Kassela was the only player that called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Arieh checked. Kassela threw out 8,500, and the third place finisher of the 2004 WSOP Main Event called. The river was the {3-Clubs} and both players checked.

"Sixes," Arieh announced after which Kassela quickly turned over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Arieh mucked and Kassela raked in the pot.

Runner-Runner Flush for Katz

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Matt Glantz and Cary Katz both checked to Jesse Martin, who put out a bet of 3,500. Glantz got out of the way, and after Katz made the call, both players checked the {8-Clubs} turn. When the {10-Clubs} peeled off on the river, Katz led out for 3,000 and received a call from Martin.

Katz rolled over {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Spades} for an ace-high flush, and Martin simply mucked.
