Chen Pulls The Trigger
No-Limit Hold'em
We just saw fireworks on the first hand of No-Limit Hold'em between Bill Chen and George Danzer. The action was folded to Chen who raised to 6,500 from the button. Danzer was in the big blind and he made the call.
The flop came down , and Danzer checked to Chen who quickly threw out three chips worth 5,000 each.
"How much do you have behind," Danzer asked Chen, who did a rough count and ended up around 120,000. Danzer slid out 30,000, and his small raise was quickly answered with an all-in shove from Chen.
Danzer didn't seem pleased with this quick move, and took quite some time to make up his mind.
"I should've raised more so I would've committed myself," Danzer said as he folded his cards. "I think I was doing pretty good if you didn't have a set. Did you have a set?" he asked Chen who said he didn't.
"Did you have aces?" Danzer continued his quest for answers, and Chen also denied this guess. "Well, I guess I was getting a good price then. I had ten-eight," Danzer said.
"I bet you just had a nine, you sick gambler!" Danzer finally said, and Chen started laughing.
"Maybe I'm a sick gambler," Chen said with a smile as he stacked his new chips.
