Mizrachi Gone

2-7 Triple Draw

Robert Mizrachi was able to get two double ups, but the third time wasn't a charm for him as he was eliminated.

Mizrachi first beat David "ODB" Baker and John Monnette by making a {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and then beat Luke Schwartz's {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} with an {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} after pulling a deuce on his final draw. That got him back over 20,000.

Mizrachi was all in after that against Andy Bloch before the first draw. Both Mizrachi and Bloch took two, then one, then one. Mizrachi made an {A-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} and aces are high in this game. Bloch made an ace as well, but his {A-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} was a little bit better and he won the pot.

Mizrachi was eliminated and will not be able to pull off another double final table with his brother, Michael.

Ivey Eliminated By Blom

Stud

Phil Ivey has just been eliminated at the hands of start-of-the-day chip leader Viktor Blom. These two are no stranger to one another, having played plenty of high-stakes action online together.

Ivey lost a very big hand recently against Joe Cassidy and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi that left him with just a bit over 100,000 in chips. All the money then went in on a hand of Seven Card Stud against Blom.

Phil Ivey{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades} / {x-}
Viktor Blom{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} / {10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} / {4-Clubs}

On third, Ivey completed and Blom called. Pairing his king on fourth street, Ivey tossed out a double bet of 40,000. Blom threw in 20,000, but the dealer instructed him the bet was for 40,000.

"Can I take it back?" asked Blom before finally making the call.

On fifth street, Ivey bet his last 23,000 and Blom called before the hands were exposed. Ivey had a pair of kings and Blom had just four Broadway cards.

"I'd have been all right with that," said Ivey, citing Blom asking to take his bet back on fourth.

As the boards ran out, Blom made a flush on sixth street. Ivey was up and out the door before getting his seventh street cad as he was drawing dead. His hand was mucked and he was eliminated just a few spots short of the money.
