Brenes Doubles Through Boyd

Humberto Brenes opened from early position with a raise and it folded to Dutch Boyd who called from his big blind.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to see a turn of {5-Clubs}. Boyd led out with a bet and Brenes tanked for about a minute before raising all in for 2,200 more on top. Boyd called and showed {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, his ace-high being ahead of Brenes' {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Brenes found fortune on the river, however, when the {Q-Clubs} peeled off, giving him a pair of queens and the best hand.
