After eleven levels and over 300 eliminations, Day 2 of Event 53: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em has officially come to close. Due to the large number of players in the field tournament staff decided to tack on an extra level to play today. The final 28 players will return tomorrow with Hugh Henderson (1,168,000) leading the pack.

Rounding out the top three in chip counts is Randy Ashe with 1,150,000 and Bryan Piccioli who is sitting on 1,097,000.

The Amazon Room had many distractions today for the players in this event, as spillover players from Event 54: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em occupied a majority of the room. On the other side of Amazon, however, the glitz and glamour of Event 55: $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop was hard to be ignored. Despite these distractions, many notable names were able to come away from play today with a cash before hitting the rail. Among those to grab a cash were David Sands, Cherish Andrews, Steve Dannenmann, Ali Eslami, Matt Affleck, Martin Staszko, Brett Jungblutt, Rupert Elder, Brock Parker, and last year's champion of this event Athanasios Polychronopoulos.

One of the more notable names going into play tomorrow is Lee Childs. Childs burst onto the poker scene back in 2007 when he made the final table of the WSOP Main Event where he eventually finished in 7th place. Since then Childs has amassed several cashes at the WSOP and this is his second cash of 2012. Childs received a good portion of his chips today when he got it all in free-rolling with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} against {Q-Spades}{j-Hearts} on a board of {5-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}. Childs looked set to chop up the pot with his opponent until the {8-Diamonds} drilled the river and sent his tablesmates into a tizzy. Childs' flush was not only able to virtually double him up but also eliminate one player from the field.

Also surviving to Day 3 is Victoria Coren who is best known for being the first woman to win an event on the European Poker Tour. This deep run is Coren's second cash at the WSOP and a final table appearance will certainly be a good addition to her poker resume. Coren will be bringing a stack of 934,000 chips into play tomorrow.

Cards will hit the air at 2:00 PM tomorrow for what looks to be the final day of play of this event. Tune in on PokerNews for all of the latest updates!
