Three-Handed

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Three handed play so far has consisted of very little action, with mainly each player taking turns stealing the blinds and antes.

Nghi Van Tran is Eliminated in 4th Place ($158,512)

Nghi Van Tran - 4th
Nghi Van Tran - 4th

The only reason Nghi Van Tran is not going to win a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet - and it's a pretty good one - has been his inability to win a single flip during this final table.

Joseph Kuether raised to 120,000 in the cutoff, Nghi Van Tran moved all-in on the button, Will Jaffe also moved all-in from the big blind and Kuether folded.

Jaffe{A-Spades} {J-Spades}
Tran{7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}

Flop: {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}

The best flop Tran had seen in a long while.

Turn: {Q-Spades}

There was a collective, "ooh," from the crowd as some of them thought it was a Jack.

River: {Q-Hearts}

The crowd went berserk as the board paired for the second time and Jaffe's ace played. Tran losing yet another flip and he was out in 4th place.

Luis Campelo Doubles Once More

Joseph Kuether raised in the cutoff, Nghi Van Tran three-bet on the button and Luis Campelo moved all-in from the small blind. Kuether folded and Tran made the call. It was another flip and Campelo was quite good at winning these…

Campelo{A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Tran{Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}

Flop: {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} {3-Hearts}

The Brazilian rail go crazy once more and yet again Campelo doubled up.

Turn: {J-Clubs}

"Ten, ten, ten," shouted some parts of the rail.

River: {7-Diamonds}

That's it! Campelo has found another double up, and Tran loses yet another flip!

Kuether Takes One from Tran

Joseph Kuether raised from the button to 120,000, Nghi Van Tran in the small blind was the only one willing to make the call, and we had two people to the flop.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Tran started the action off with a check. Kuether then bet out 100,000 and Tran raised to 250,000. Kuether made the call and the {7-Spades} fell on fourth street. It was here that Tran bet out 425,000, Kuether again made the call.

The {j-Spades} on the river saw Tran bet a meager bet of 100,000. Kuether brought out a raise of 600,000 and placed it in the middle. Tran took a few moments off the clock, and folded.

Kuether and Campelo Take Pots

Joseph Kuether limped on the button and both Nghi Van Tran and Luis Campelo called in the blinds. The flop was {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {9-Spades} and Kuether bet 60,000 once checked to and only Tran made the call. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Tran folded once Kuether had fired his second salvo.

Then Nghi Van Tran raised to 135,000 on the button, Luis Campelo shoved from the small blind (for around 680,000), Will Jaffe tank-folded in the big blind and Tran also laid down the hand.
