Pires Busts Chan

Joao Pires opened the action with a raise to 800 and Vanessa Rousso called from the button. It folded to Terrence Chan in the big blind and he three-bet to 3,100. Pires would not be bullied, however, as he four-bet to 8,100. Rousso shot her hand to the muck quite quickly and action was back on Chan.

Chan counted all of his chips before five-betting all in. Pires snap called and the hands were shown:

Chan: {A-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Pires: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Chan was unable to improve, sending him to the rail and boosting Pires' stack to 108,000.
