Bubble Time

When the players returned from break there was 43 left in the field. After the eliminations of Deon Bowes and Kami Chisholm, there are now 41 remaining putting the tournament on the official bubble.

Bowes was eliminated by William Thompson after Thompson made a king-high straight. Thompson moved his stack to 97,000 in chips.

Bowes: ({K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}) / {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Thompson: ({J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}) / {10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Bowes completed on third street and Thompson raised. Action got back to Bowes and he called before both players checked fourth. On fifth street, Thompson bet, Bowes raised and Thompson called. On sixth street, Thompson checked and Bowes bet his last 1,800. Thompson called.

With one more street to come, Thompson held a made king-high straight against Bowes' pair of kings. Bowes was drawing dead and his last card was the {A-Diamonds}. Thompson finished with the {Q-Diamonds} and won the pot.

Traniello's Two Pair

Marco Traniello just moved up to 27,000 in chips after his two pair of nines and sevens worked out for him. He was against Steve Billirakis in the hand.

Traniello: (x)(x) / {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / (x)
Billirakis: (x)(x) / {K-Clubs}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades} / (x)

On fourth, fifth and sixth street, Traniello led with bets and Billirakis made the call each time. On seventh street, both players checked.

Traniello showed the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Billirakis couldn't beat it.
