Big Clash Coming?

It could be, but it's a limit game and big stacks have little effect on the way hands play out. But it is good to know that two of the biggest stacks in the room are seated at the same table.

Allen Bari just got moved to Thayer Rasmussen's table and the two started chatting right away. Rasmussen got his biggest live tournament result back in 2007 when he finished fourth in the WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship for $131,170 but he is mostly known as an online player under the handle THAY3R. Allen Bari had a massive result at last year's WSOP when he won the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament when he beat Maria Ho heads up and brought home the $874,116 first place prize. With these big stacks and years of poker experience we expect big things from these two players.

Racener Gets There to Scoop

John Racener
John Racener

John Racener was getting short and risked almost all of his chips in a hand. It worked out well for him and now he has a stack that's a little more than the average.

He and two other players got involved in a pre flop raising war before the {3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop came down. The action was checked to the button who bet 3,000. Racener was the only caller to the {q-Diamonds} turn where the two remaining players checked.

The river was {10-Diamonds} and Racener led for 6,000 and was called. "Flush," said the former November Niner and opened {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. It was good as his opponent mucked.

Deeb Going Down

With some frustration showing Shaun Deeb just shook his head after losing a pot against the player on his right. The chip lead is no longer his as he drops down to below 100,000 chips.

The player under the gun raised to 6,000, Deeb was to his left and made it 9,000. Action got folded back to the under the gun player who hesitated a little before calling.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the under the gun player check-called 3,000. The turn was the {K-Spades} and both players checked. On the river the {K-Hearts} hit and Deeb faced a 6,000 chip bet. After double checking his cards he threw in the chips against his own will so it seemed. His opponent showed {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and took dwon the pot with two pair. Deeb is down to 95,000 chips and not looking happy right now.

Negreanu Scoops

With the board reading {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} Tyler Schwecke check-called a 6,000 bet from Negreanu and the river was the {Q-Spades}. The same process got repeated and Negreanu turned over {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} to scoop the pot. Schwecke double checked his cards before mucking and saw himself knocked down to just 40,000 chips. Negreanu is cruising with 112,000 but it's still Shaun Deeb who is in the lead at this table.

Bari Up, Boyd Down

Allen Bari and Dutch Boyd are two of the marquee names left in the field. They are sat next to each other and just clashed in a big pot.

We got there on the river but Bari had bet, called a raise on the turn. The board was left as {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Boyd tank-called another 5,000.

"Two-pair," said Bari and opened {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Boyd half showed his losing {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{x-} and mucked whilst saying, "Why did I raise you on the turn?"

No More Madsen

Two time WSOP gold bracelet winner and 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen has just been eliminated. He Tweeted the following:

"Son of a bitch ran so sheisty the last two levels gg 80th onto the next"

Madsen clearly wasn't happy with this result as he added another mincash to his World Series resumé after finishing 36th in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-low event early this week for $3,921.
