The WSOP staff has just announced that there will be four more hands and then the night is over.
2013 World Series of Poker
A new rule change this year means that a tournament must be within three players of the money in order to continue for the night until the bubble burst rather than one table away. With 63 players remaining, that means Day 1 will in fact be done at the end of 10 levels.

Event #12: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em started today with 535 players and after 10 levels of play, we have two players over the 100K mark: Robert Corcione (144,600) and Mike Carson (110,000). Both players have some history at the WSOP. Robert Corcione finished in 21st place in last year's Main Event for $294,601and Mike Carson won a bracelet in 2000 in a $3000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event for $222,000.
Play began at noon where we saw the likes of Eric Baldwin, straight off his Runner-up Finish in Event #4, Gavin Smith, Antonio Esfandiari, Annette Obrestad, Hoyt Corkins, Victor Ramdin and Kathy Liebert to name just a few. Unfortunately, none of these players survived to play day 2 but we have plenty of recognizable names still in the field including: Jason Mercier, Allen Cunningham, Martin Stazko, Adam Geyer, Melanie Weisner and the defending champion of this event, Nick Jivkov.
We are ending the day with 62 players but only 54 of them will make the money. Play resumes at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Purple Section of the Amazon Room. Follow all the action right here as we approach the bubble and players continue to battle for the first-place prize of $166,136 and a WSOP Bracelet.
