Porter Edges Schneider

Razz

Rep Porter completed showing the {8-Spades}, and Tom Schneider called with the {9-Clubs}. Porter bet fourth street after being dealth the {7-Hearts}, and Schneider ({3-Spades}) called. Porter received the {q-Clubs} on fifth street, while Schneider got the {a-Hearts}. Schneider bet out and Porter called. Porter was dealt the {4-Spades} on sixth street, while Schneider received the {10-Diamonds} and checked. Porter bet and Schneider called, and then on the river Porter bet again and Schneider called again, bringing a showdown.

Porter: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}/{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Schneider: {2-}{k-}{4-}/{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Singer Cripples Bach with Double

Razz

Top mixed-game players David Singer and David Bach got enough chips in on fifth street for Singer to be all in.

Bach: {8-}{2-}/{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Singer: {3-}{4-}/{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Singer picked up an {8-} on sixth, making him an eight-six, and Bach was dealt a {7-}, making an eight-seven. Unfortunately for him, Singer picked up a {7-} on seventh street, and Bach got a {q-}. Bach has only a couple of big bets left.

Schneider Stacking

Omaha Eight or Better

Tom Schneider raised from middle position, and Michael Cooper made the call from the button.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Schneider continuation-bet, and Cooper called. The turn was a {6-Hearts}, and Schneider kept firing. Cooper called once more. Schneider bet a final time on a {9-Spades} river. Cooper raised, and Schneider called immediately.

"Nothing," Cooper said, tossing out {a-}{2-}{5-}{7-}. Schneider rolled over {q-}{q-}{j-}{j-} for top set and took the pot.

Rechnitzer Quartered

Omaha Eight or Better

Michael Cooper raised from under the gun, and action folded around to Tom Schneider in the small blind. Schneider called, and George Rechnitzer called from the big blind. The flop fell {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Schneider and Rechnitzer both checked. Cooper bet out, and both other players called to see the {5-Clubs} on the turn. Cooper again bet, and the others again both called. Cooper bet again on the river, a {5-Diamonds}. Schneider thought for a minute, but elected to fold, and Rechnitzer quickly called. The players showed their hands:

Cooper: {a-}{j-}{k-}{2-}
Rechnitzer: {a-}{j-}{10-}{6-}

Cooper won the low with his eighty-five low, and the players split the high with matching pairs of jacks with an ace kicker. Rechnitzer got quartered, and Cooper won the remaining three quarters on the pot.

"At Least it's Not No-Limit"

Hold'em

David Bach checked and called a bet from Owais Ahmed after a flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. He checked again when the {a-Diamonds} turned, and Ahmed checked it back. Bach then led out on the {k-Spades} river. Ahmed made the call.

Bach: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Ahmed: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Bach took the pot with top two pair.

"At least it's not no-limit," Ahmed said. "I would have doubled you up."

Mackey Doubles

Hold'Em

Pre-flop, Frankie O'Dell raised, and James Mackey re-raised from the small blind. O'Dell raised again, then Mackey raised again, and O'Dell called. On the flop of {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Mackey went all-in for his last 5,000 in chips, and O'Dell called, showing {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Mackey held {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and the ace on the flop put him ahead. The turn and river were the {7-Diamonds} and {5-Diamonds}, no help to O'Dell, and Mackey Doubled up.

Porter Catches Gunslinger Stealing

Hold'em

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}, David "Gunslinger" Bach checked, and Rep Porter bet. Bach then check-raised, and Porter called. The turn was the {4-Spades}, and Bach bet out. Porter called, and the dealer brought the {3-Spades}. Bach again bet out, and Porter again called. Bach asked what Porter had, and Porter turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Bach mucked his cards, and Porter won the pot

Tyson Marks Eliminated in 15th Place ($8,378)

Tyson Marks - 15th Place
Tyson Marks - 15th Place

Stud 8

Tyson Marks: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades} / {x-}
David Bach: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
David Singer: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} / {x-}
Owais Ahmed: {x-}{x-} / {4-Spades} (FOLD)

Singer brought it in, Ahmed completed, Marks called, Bach raised, and only Singer and Marks called. Bach led out on fourth and fifth street, and after just calling on fourth, Singer moved all in on fifth for less . Marks moved all in as well for less then three bets, and Bach called both.

Marks: {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Bach: {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Singer: {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Marks had a pair of sevens, Bach a pair of aces and a low draw, and Singer had ace-high and a low draw. Singer picked up a gut-shot straight draw on sixth and ripped the {5-Clubs} off on seventh to give him a straight and a sixty-five low. Marks picked up a meaningless queen on sixth and the {4-Clubs} on seventh, while Bach picked up a flush draw on sixth. The {3-Spades} on seventh gave him a meaningless two pair though, and Singer scooped a monster pot.

Dan Kelly

Stud Eight or Better

In wave of wild pre-flop action, Mark Klecan raised showing the {6-Diamonds}, Frankie O'Dell ({2-Diamonds}) three-bet, Dan Kelly ({4-Hearts}) 4-bet, Klecan called the four bets, and O'Dell raised to five bets. Dan Kelly called all-in for 43,000, and Klecan called the fifth bet as well.

Klecan paired his six on fourth street and bet out, and O'Dell quickly raised after receiving the {8-Diamonds}. O'Dell bet out each street the rest of the hand, with Klecan calling him down, and setting up the following showdown.

Kelly: {8-}{6-}{k-}/{4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
O'Dell: {a-}{a-}{9-}/{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Klecan: {x-}{x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}

No player had a qualifying low, and O'Dell won the high with three aces. After the hand, Frankie O'Dell was up to 360,000, and Dan Kelly was eliminated in 16th place for $8,378.
