Hamnett Times Two

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Hamnett raised to 16,000 in the cutoff seat, Dan Kelly three-bet all in from the big blind, and Hamnett called.

Hamnett: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Kelly: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Kelly was in bad shape, and Hamnett held when the board came {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. He doubled to around 270,000 chips, while Kelly slipped to 280,000.

Michalowski Check-Jams the Flop

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mike DeGilio opened to 16,000 from early position, Rafal Michalowski three-bet to 36,000 out of the small blind, and DeGilio made a fourth bet, re-raising to 57,000. Michalowski called.

The chip leader than checked when the flop fell {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, only to move all in after DeGilio fired 40,000. DeGilio folded, leaving himself with 125,000, while Michalowski now has 770,000.

Andrulis Dodges Rast's Outs

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Kristijonas Andrulis raised to 20,000 in late position, Brian Rast defended his big blind, and then Rast led out for 23,000 on a flop of {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Andrulis moved all in for 142,000, and Rast called.

Rast: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Andrulis: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Rast held overs and a flush draw, but neither the turn ({4-Hearts}) nor the river ({6-Diamonds}) improved his hand, and Andrulis doubled.

Ben Yu Eliminated in 23rd Place ($15,824)

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Ben Yu - 23rd Place
Ben Yu - 23rd Place

Ben Yu opened for a raise in the hijack, Joe Serock defended in the big blind, and the dealer fanned {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Serock check-called a bet, then led out for 26,000 when the {6-Clubs} turned. Yu called.

The river was the {q-Spades}, Serock moved all in for effectively 105,000 or so, and Yu tank-called. Serock showed {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for trip sixes, which was good enough to win the pot and eliminate Yu.

David Diaz Eliminated in 24th Place ($15,824)

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
David Diaz - 24th Place
David Diaz - 24th Place

A very short-stacked David Diaz moved all in for 39,000 from early position, Ben Hamnett called on his direct left, and Jamie Armstrong re-shoved from the small blind. Hamnett tanked for a very long time, then folded.

Diaz: {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Armstrong: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop gave Diaz a backdoor straight draw, and although that draw vanished when the {9-Clubs} turned, he picked up two outs to double. Any nine on the river would give him nines full of threes, but it was a third three - the {3-Diamonds} - giving Armstrong threes full of tens.

Diaz hit the rail, while Armstrong now sits with 350,000 chips.

Bojang Five-Bet Ships

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ismael Bojang was in the hijack seat and raised to 13,000. Ben Yu three-bet to 38,000 out of the small blind, and Trevor Pope cold four-bet to 71,000 in the big blind. Bojang five-bet shipped, forcing folds from both Yu and Pope.
