Trips for Mercier

Level 4 : 50/200, 50 ante

Catching the action on sixth street we found Jason Mercier putting chips into the pot before he fired out 400 on seventh street.

Mercier: {X-}{X-} / {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} / {X-}

Mercier's opponent made the call and Mercier quickly flipped over his {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for trips to take the pot and move to 4,300 in chips.

Clinkscales Clips Mizrachi

Level 4 : 50/200, 50 ante
Rex Clinkscales
Rex Clinkscales

Rex Clinkscales had the bring-in and Phil Ivey completed. Both Michael Mizrachi and Clinkscales made the call before Ivey bet fourth and both players called. Fifth street saw Mizrachi take the lead with only Clinkscales calling as Mizrachi fired again on sixth with Clinkscales once again making the call.

Clinkscales: {X-}{X-} / {3-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} / {X-}
Ivey: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} (folded on fifth)
Mizrachi: {X-}{X-} / {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts} / {X-}

Both players checked on seventh and Mizrachi tabled his {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} / {A-Hearts}, but it would be Clinkscales' {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} that would see him capture the pot.

Reunion on 387

Level 5 : 75/250, 50 ante

With a table breaking, an interesting dilemma has developed on table 387.

John Monnette and his 6,000-chip stack was moved to join the likes of Perry Friedman and Huu Vinh. This may not sound interesting but in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud at last year's World Series, Monnette, Vinh and Friedman went 1st, 2nd and 4th.

Could we see a repeat performance?
