Ramdin Flops a Set

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} was the flop when Victor Ramdin made a raise to his opponents bet.

Ramdin's opponent then put himself at risk by saying all in. Ramdin wanted a clarification, "Did you say all in?" His opponent confirmed the all in status and that prompted Ramdin to insta-call.

Ramdin had {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and his flopped set was way ahead of his opponents {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The turn {7-Hearts} and river {5-Spades} did not matter and Ramdin knocked out his opponent. He now has 60,000

Plenty of Extras Being Given Away at This Year's WSOP

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Wasicka Busts Moorman in Huge Pot

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We arrived to the table as we saw both Paul Wasicka and Chirs Moorman tabling their cards after a huge preflop raising war saw over 90,000 chips go into the middle. Wasicka's {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was well ahead of the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} of Moorman, and he stayed ahead as the board ran down {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

It took the dealer quite some time to count out both player's stacks, as both had a ton of chips, including alot of green T25's and black T100's. Eventually, it was determined that Wasicka had Moorman covered by just over 1,000. After that pot, Wasicka is now our big chip leader, with just under 100,000.

Calling to Chop Fails Paur; Eliminated

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

The board ran out a straight {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Huy Nguyen bet out a pot size bet of 5,000. Action was to Taylor Paur and he took some time. He had to decide if Nguyen had a king for a bigger straight or if Nguyen was trying to bet Paur off a chopped pot.

Paur had less then 5,000 and it went into the middle.

Nguyen showed {k-}{q-} for the king high straight and that eliminated Paur. Nguyen now has 39,000.

Hamby's Big Draw Comes Through

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We heard the dealer announce all in at Jared Hamby's table, and noticed that it was in fact Hamby who was moving his chips into the middle. Here was the situation as we got there. The flop had come down {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, and Hamby had moved all in after his opponent bet 4,000. Hamby had his opponent slightly outchipped, and eventually, his opponent announced call.

Hamby: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Despite his opponent having top pair, Hamby was actually a 55% favorite according to the Pokernews odds calculator. Well that number jumped up to 100% after the dealer put the {j-Clubs} on the turn, giving Hamby the nuts. The meaningless river was the {9-Diamonds}, and after collecting that pot, Hamby is back up to 33,000.
