Kerignard Makes the Call of his Life

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the table there was {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} | {3-Diamonds} | {9-Diamonds} and in the middle of the table was already a huge pot. Yorane Kerignard's opponent had bet out 27,100 and the Frenchman thought about it for quite some time. He eventually made the call and his opponent showed {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} for top pair and top kicker, no diamons. Kerignard tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and shouted "Allez papa!" as he raked in the big pot.

Andre Akkari (Day 1) - Eliminated

Brazilian Andre Akkari bet out 13,000 on a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Dan Healey moved all in for effectively 88,000, and Akkari sighed heavily before calling.

Akkari: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Healey: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Healey made his flush when the {q-Clubs} turned, leaving Akkari drawing dead. A meaningless {k-Hearts} completed the board, and the Brazilian hit the rail.

E-Dog One Outs to Stay Alive

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Alexander Lakhov had enough chips to put a short stacked Erick Lindgren at risk. The two flipped up their cards.

Lindgren: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Lakhov: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}. The turn came the {9-Spades}. As Lindgren was saying his goodbyes the {10-Diamonds} flashed on the river. The whole table was shocked. Daniel Negreanu told Lindgren that he had the other ten. That meant that Lindgren hit his one outer to stay alive. He had 56,000 after the hand, while Lakhov had 85,000.
