Koon Chipping Back Up

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dan Healey had the button, and raised to 12,000. Jason Koon called, and both players checked on a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {k-Hearts}, Koon led out for 16,000, and Healey raised to 40,000. Koon called.

Koon checked when the {a-Clubs} completed the board, Healey tossed out three green T25,000 chips, and Koon immediately called the 75,000-chip bet. Healey went to muck, prompting Koon to show {q-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a pair of sevens.

Timoshenko Takes the Lead

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With the blinds still at 2,000/4,000/500, Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 10,000 on the button. Isaac Hagerling called, and both players checked on a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {9-Diamonds}, Hagerling led out for 15,000, and Timoshenko called.

The {3-Spades} completed the board, Hagerling fired out another 40,000, and Timoshenko called. Hagerling showed {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for a pair of fours, which was no good against Timoshenko's {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines.

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Cantu opened to 15,000 on the button, Max Steinberg defended, and the 2012 bracelet winner check-called bets of 16,000, 38,000, and 45,000 as the flop, turn, and river came {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. After calling the third and final bet, Cantu ripped over {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for trip aces, dragging in the pot.

Johnson Widens Lead With King High

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 12,000 from the button and he found a call from Chris Johnson in the big blind.

On the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades} board, Johnson checked to Ausmus who bet 13,000. Johnson called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Johnson checked for a second time. Ausmus fired 28,000 and Johnson flatted again.

The {9-Clubs} came down as the river card and both players checked. Johnson showed {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for king high and it was good enough to take the pot.

Cantu Retakes the Chip Lead

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Cantu raised to 15,000 on the button, Max Steinberg called, and both players checked when the dealer fanned {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Steinberg led out for 20,000 when the {10-Hearts} turned, Cantu called, and the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Steinberg checked, Cantu fired out 60,000, and Steinberg check-raised to 265,000.

"Mind if we take a bathroom break after this hand?" Cantu asked Steinberg, who nodded his head.

A few minutes of silence passed.

"Sorry," Cantu finally said. "I promise I'm not Hollywooding you."

Cantu tanked for one more minute then called. Steinberg showed {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens, but it was no good against Cantu's {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a rivered straight.

"Jack-nine," Steinberg chuckled at the sight of Cantu's hand.

Cantu went on to explain that he thought Steinberg either had hearts or a bluff, and chose to call thinking he had the latter. Steinberg is down to 508,000 chips, while Cantu is back in the lead with 891,500.

Koon Getting Shorter

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Koon check-called a bet of 36,000 from Dan Healey on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The turn was the {7-Spades}, Koon check-called another 55,000, and the {9-Spades} completed the board. Koon checked a third and final time, Healey tossed out 125,000, and Koon instantly called.

Healey showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for kings and nines, and Koon laughed.

"Could've had it all," he said, flashing {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Healey is close to "having it all," with over one million chips.
